In January, Prince Metuh was granted bail under certain strict conditions, which included him having to two sureties. One of his sureties Dr Olubumi Usim-Wilson, has indicated that he wishes to withdraw and Senator Ekweremadu has decided to step in.
At the resumed hearing of the case yesterday, Prince Metuh, through his lawyer, Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu, notified the court of his intention to present Senator Ekweremadu as one of his sureties. He made the application while an application filed by Dr Usim-Wilson to withdraw as surety was still pending.
