For the umpteenth time, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has appealed to Nigerian workers to continue to support the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari to enable him take the country to greater heights.
The Minister made this appeal while receiving the executive committee of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) led by its President, Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama that paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Bello reiterated that the nation is passing through some sort of temporary economic challenges; noting that other nations have also passed through similar challenges, and that it would soon be overcome.
The Minister emphasized that President Muhammadu Buhari is God sent; stressing that all his actions are geared towards making the country great again for this generation and for generations yet unborn.
He said that the support of the Nigerian workers and indeed that of other Nigerians would go a long way in stabilizing the system and make the job of the government much easier to bring back the past glory of Nigeria.
Bello assured that the Federal Government is working towards bridging the housing deficit; noting that in the FCT, more attention would be given to housing for low income earners to ensure that workers are well catered for.
While saying that the Trade Union Congress is one of the very important stakeholders of Abuja, the Minister remarked that the FCT Administration would identify a suitable plot of land for the building of TUC Headquarters.
Speaking earlier, the President of the Trade Union Congress, Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama said that the Congress would like to relocate its headquarters from Lagos to Abuja and therefore sought for a plot of land.
The FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye and other officials of the FCT Administrations joined the Minister to receive the TUC delegation.
