Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho will be among the Manchester City squad to face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League tie tonight at the Camp Nou.
The Nigeria international was one of the 21 players summoned for the trip by City manager, Pep Guardiola, but it remained unclear whether or not he would be handed a starting shirt with Argentina star Aguero also in the traveling party to Spain.
Iheanacho had never competed against Barcelona since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, and was not selected when they traded tackles with the La Liga champs in February 2015, a month after his deal with Man City was confirmed. The 20-year-old had six games under his belt in the Champions League, and opened his account against Borussia Mönchengladbach a month ago.
The Golden Eaglets graduate had scored five goals in 11 matches for club and country this season.
