President Buhari has arrived Morocco ahead of Climate Change Conference (COP-22) in Marrakech on Monday evening, November 14.
President Buhari has been welcomed by Minister Delegate to Mr Nasser Bourita, the minister of foreign affairs and cooperation of Morocco, at the Mogado international airport.

President Buhari has been accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Environment Amina Mohammed, Chairman House Committee on Climate Change Hon. Samuel Onuigbo, Chairman Senate Committee on Ecology and Climate Change Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Chairman House Commitee on Environment Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The president will spend three days in Morocco
President Buhari is set to attend the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), also known as COP-22, in Marrakech, Morocco, from November 14-16, 2016.

President Buhari is expeted to visit a series of important international events and meetings
The president will also participate in the official opening plenary on Tuesday, November 15 where he will deliver his national statement during the High Level Segment of COP 22.
The president will attend the Climate Change Conference COP 22 in that takes place in Marrakesh this week
While in Marrakech, the president is scheduled to attend the Africa Day Commemoration at COP 22 with the theme, “Moving from Commitments to Action with Intended Nationally Determined Contributions and African Renewable Energy Initiative.”
The visit will show Nigeria’s commitment to a global efforts to reverse the effects of the climate change
